Charles devised, produced and directed the hugely successful 'Mirrors' with Brunton Senior Youth Theatre at the National Festival of Youth Theatre 2014.

Charles was Head of Drama at Sage Academy of Performing Arts in Newcastle upon Tyne for 5 years. He taught drama to pupils between the ages of 5 – 21, teaching them a range of skills including vocal techniques such as accent and projection, script work, devised performance, improvisation and audition technique. Charles tutored pupils for their LAMDA qualifications, directed full length productions and arranged the structure of the acting provision for the full-time Musical Theatre course.
